For years I've had iTunes set to sync the five most recent episodes of each podcast to my various devices, whether or not those episodes were marked as 'played', and everything worked well. I recently updated both iTunes and the iOS version, and now iTunes is refusing to transfer any podcast marked as 'played' to anything. The podcast episodes exist locally on my macbook, and no amount of fiddling with settings will persuade them to be copied anywhere else. Any thoughts? (Checking/unchecking 'delete played episodes' makes no difference whatsoever). Thanks!
