Q: Apple tv 4 Crashing,unstable,white screen etc...
Dear Apple communities,
i have bought a Apple tv 4 in december 2015. I had a great experience with it.
But since a week ago it is always crashing no matter what app i use. If for instance i want to view a Youtube video in the Youtube App before the video could launch the apple tv crashes and brings me automatically back to the homescreen. Same in the Apple movie trailer app and in Infuse media player.
Sometimes i get strange lines on top of the screen ( see screenshot)
I also get a flickering apple logo (video to see what i mean https://youtu.be/a0uHUOrPHwg)
What i have tried:
- Connected a USB C cable on my apple tv and restored and updated to the latest firmware "3times"
- Connected a different HDMI cable
- Rebooted my modem and network
Is someon encoutering similar problems ? What should i do ?
Should i bring it back in to warranty or are there other things i could try to fix this ?
Thanks in advance for your help
Dimitri

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.
