Command Key missing

Hi,

I have a brand new iPad Pro 2. I can't find a command key on my keyboard however. Instead I have an emoji key where the command key should be. I checked my settings, and the keyboard is set to standard version with the emojis turned off. Is there any way to get a command key instead? I can include a photo of the keyboard if you need one.

Most disgusting thing I’ve seen yet by Apple—describing use of a “command” key that I don’t have on the virtual keyboard of either my iPad Air or iPhone. IInstead I have an emoji key that pops up hundreds of cute little useless icons : - (

I am not familiar with either a command key or a control- or alt- key for iPad (on the on-screen keyboards).

Yes, a screen shot would be helpful if you have evidence to the contrary.

Also, it would be helpful if you told us what you would use this key for if it existed.

Meanwhile, here is a discussion from the iPad User Guide:

HHere's a site from 2014 that specifcally describes how to use an iPad keyboard. The image in the photo looks like my keyboard, but apparently the writer was able to use shortcuts with it.

I suspect that guide left out one important piece of information: those shortcuts require a bluetooth keyboard.
