Macbook Pro Yosemite pixeled clusters - restarts, how to solve the problem?

Hello everyone,

I have a Macbook Pro (15-inch Early 2008) running on OS X Yosemite (Version 10.10.4), 4 GB of RAM and a SSD (Both of which I installed last year). The problem I am having is, sometimes when I am using the computer it flickers and I get a pixeled screen, if not a frozen one (which allows me just to move the mouse around). When it flixers and pixels up it shuts down and automatically restarts; I get the Kernel reported issue box thing and so on, but as the computer restarts, you can clearly see a few spots with pixeled areas and when that happens, the computer never makes it, it just goes into a loop of loading a bit with the apple logo - pixels in random spots and restarts - Kernel problem. An endless loop I have to end by pressing the power button to shut the computer down.

I somehow managed to solve the startup problem by going into Recovery Mode - Reparing Disk. The issue I have now is, each time I turn on the computer, during the apple logo / loading time, the screen flickers (goes black) once for about .5 seconds, and then loads. Is this something I should be aware of? and what could have been the cause of my problem?. This particular thing it had done with each session I had the freezing / pixel cluster issue. I am concerned it may happen again to be honest, does anyone happen to have a solution / explanation to my problem?

I kindly appreciate your attention and help,

Zentra
