Q: Can't stream video since upgrading iPhone 6 to iOS 9.3.2, can stram on iPhone 5 using iOS 9.3.1

Can't stream video on my IPhone 6 since updating ti iOS 9.3.2. I can stream video from my wife's iPhone 5 operating iOS 9.3.1. Using same network and TV. I have tried retarting and resetting the Apple TV, and restarting my cable modem & router. None of which has worked.

What version is your ATV, see Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support, and what software does it have?

What are you streaming? Are you using AirPlay to play a video, or are you using AirPlay mirroring to show the iPhone screen on TV?

How does it not work? Does Apple TV not show in the popup menu? Does it start to play, then stop?

If it's an ATV 4, have you updated it to tvOS 9.2.1, which came out the same time as iOS 9.3.2?

I am using Model A1469, Apple TV Software 7.2.1 (8011).I am trying to stream ACORN TV from my iPhones 5 & 6 and my MacBook OSx 10.11.14. Often will only get first screen on TV then it freezes there. Please advise. Thank you.

Ah, it freezes. My workaround for that is to let it freeze, then open Control Center on the phone and briefly turn AirPlay off and back on. That should unfreeze it, though you may also need to hit Play on the ATV remote. So far this has been an ATV 4 problem, but it may be spreading. Please try this and report if it works.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your mobile device.
