time machine no longer works since this update
MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3), iDVD is nowhere to be found.
How do you know it's not working?

It has been stuck on preparing backup for close to 2 hours
Start with D1 in the 1st linked article.
After 3 hours, I stopped the preparing backup stage, shut down the computer, and then tried again. It immediately worked without any delays. Thank you for your help.
