Q: How can I sync the reading list from Safari on my iPhone to Safari on my windows machine?

First I have to say that I was really happy to see Safari come back for windows! ***THANK YOU!!!*** Chrome and IE were both overclocking my machine and the cooling fan would not turn off. I did the same "stress test" with Safari and memory usage came in at less than 25% of the other two.

On to the question: How can I sync the reading list from Safari on my iPhone to Safari on my windows machine? I have downloaded the iCloud control panel (iCloud desktop app) and updated all of my information.

When I go into the Bookmarks section of the control panel, there is no option for Safari. The only options that are presented are: Internet Explorer, Firefox (not installed), and Chrome. I have done a lot of searching, but cannot seem to find a solution...

Thank you!

What version of Safari did you install on Windows? What version of Windows are you running?

Hi, the version information is below. I think I found my answer before I noticed that you replied. What I found was that Safari is not one of the supported browsers in the control panel for windows. The list  (Internet Explorer, Firefox (not installed), and Chrome) were the only options. This led to a lot a unnecessary name-calling which questioned Apple's ability to reason. I am still happy with the product without this feature on a windows machine.

Anyway, as I hold onto a small glimmer of hope, here is the information below:

Safari version: 5.1.7  There are blue arrows facing inward on the shortcut icon, over the Safari logo.

    Windows 10

    Thanks again!

Safari never worked well on Windows and it is not supported on Windows. It did not come back as you stated in your original post. FireFox, Edge and Chrome work well in a Windows environment.

Thanks for the feedback. So now I'm just shaking my head. I went back through to find the article and I ended up misinterpreting it. Shoot - I hardly read it because I was happy about the thought of it coming back. At least I discovered the Control Panel. Disappointing.

    Thanks again!
