Q: dictation problem

I am quite sure that the problem came after the update 2.2.1

I speak Cantonese in Hong Kong.

Before the update, my watch could dictate my Cantonese in WhatsApp replies

Now it just misinterpret my words of Cantonese as English

I wonder if there are similar problems with other languages

Apple Watch Sport 38mm, watchOS 2.2.1

Hi

Whilst I am not fully familiar with WhatsApp Messenger, the following steps may help:

After tapping on Reply, press firmly on the watch face > if Choose Language is shown, tap on it to select your preferred language for your reply.

The method for changing languages is referenced here, for example:

For third-party apps such as WhatsApp Messenger, the best place to look for help is often the developer's own support resources. However, in this particular case, the ability to send quick replies via WhatsApp Messenger using Apple Watch appears to (still) be an undocumented feature of the iOS app.
