My Apple TV 3rd gen shows that I have software 6.2.1
On running Software update (Hoping for 7.2.1) I get a "No updates available".
What could be the reason for this?

Are you sure you have a 3rd gen? What's the model number ?

I presumed I had from the diagrams of the various AppleTVs.

I suspect that I'm going to get a thumbs down here.
No big deal, I understand that it had some security updates which which would be nice, but as I haven't got a Smart TV no great desire to upgrade.
