Q: Photos Library Among Separate Users on the Same Mac

Apple, can you please fix this issue??

The new Photos Library is unable to allow separate users on the same Mac to access and utilize it.

Simple scenario...a family of four (or more) all want to save their photos and movies from their respective devices into one master Photos library.  Everyone wants to be able to add, edit, etc. within the same master library. (Obviously, not at the same time)  My old iPhoto Library was able to do this seamlessly.  In fact, I used to be able to open any iPhoto library anywhere on my network and edit no problem, with any computer.

I have a brand new iMac with plenty of space that serves as the hub of the family and need this feature back.

I do not want to have to put an over 200g Photos library on an external drive to do this.  I used to do that with the Time Capsule but videos would buffer too much.

Work around...I have placed it in the "Public" folder, but it seams to always require Repairing Permissions when opening from a new user account.

I am guessing that the majority of people working at Apple do not have spouses or children, and do not see the need of this feature.

This issue has been brought up on multiple forums and within other communities, but Apple has yet to address this issue with the new Photos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Apple.

Thank you.

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), iOS 9.3.2
