Q: Macbook Pro Retina display water damage

So Friday night, my late 2012 MPB fell behind a cushion in the sofa.  I believe the cushion may have contained some water or pressed against the back of the display.

Now, there's a little splotch of bright white lights towards the bottom left hand corner of the machine.  These seem to come and go (sometimes they're bright white other times they turn dark greenish.

The entire screen flickers at times (think an old school TV when you're not exactly on the right channel).

I've also noticed that there is some input lag occasionally from when I type a character/ move the track pad and when the character shows up on screen or the track pad moves.

Is the computer still usable?  Will it get worse?  Do I need to buy a new one?
