Q: Fonts distorted in my keynote

Hi all, can someone please help.

I just downloaded el capitan on my Macbookair and when i went to open my keynote presentation (still on vers 5.1.1) i noticed my "newer" fonts appear jumbled. Can someone tell me how to restore these "newer" fonts in the presentation. Thanks

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Update to Keynote version 5.3 from the Apple update site here: iWork 09 update

then verify fonts in Font Book in the Applications folder: select all the fonts then File > Validate fonts
