Please make a Genius appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

May 29, 2016 5:40 PM in response to Maddy0519by Michael Black,It only takes a tiny bit of water, especially seawater, on any energized electronics to cause damage. Best to get it checked by Apple as you likely have some physical damage from that seawater wetting.

I've looked a several ipad take apart videos. Replacing the mic doesn't look too hard. If apple insists you need a new machine consider doing it yourself or taking it to an other repair ship. This will void your warranty. These are good options if your machine is out of warranty.
