It sounds like you are unable to use your SnapChat app the way you should be. I would use the troubleshooting steps in the following article for third party apps. You may well need to reach out to the developer if the issue isn't resolved by the article though:

Snapchat was never built for iOS 4 and can only be loaded through unauthorized jailbreaking. As such, your issue cannot be supported on this forum.
Uhh are you saying that i have jailbroken my iphone? i used the method of downloading off of itunes first, then downloading it off of the app store.
