Q: Change Apple ID email to @icloud.com

Hi, I tried to change my Apple ID email from @gmail.com to @icloud.com but I get a warning message stating "Your Apple ID cannot end in @icloud.com". Where's the problem?

iPhone 5, iOS 9.2.1

Thanks, but I just found general answers regarding changing Apple ID or iCloud email.
I want to assign my @icloud.com email to my Apple ID but I am not allowed to. Please see the attached image.

If it's not allowed, it's not allowed. This is a user-to-user support forum, you're not speaking to Apple here. We can't alter or change anything.
