Thank you for your reply!! I've actually been getting used to the text notifications from CarPlay. Or I just don't plug my phone in and use Bluetooth if I want music from my phone to play.
I apologize for my delayed response here. I had actually typed up this long response about my new car and then swiped back on my phone and everything cleared haha. So I decided to give it some more time and figured I would give a more knowledgeable opinion anyways after driving it more. I bought my car on the Sunday before Memorial Day last month. So I have had my car almost exactly a month.
I love my new civic! I still feel like I am driving a luxury car. I have the EX trim so l love my sun/moon roof (still don't understand the difference but everyone at Honda called it a moon roof). I love the side mirror camera and my touchscreen display. My touchscreen has only not worked one time. I just turned off my car and turned it back on and it was fine. I have the black and then black interior. I have to say, the black interior only on the doors and the elbow rest show lint really well. But it's just a white lint. It's kind of weird. Like just from wearing a shirt and then resting your elbow on the door or elbow rest, it will show. But with a couple rubs or vacuum it comes right out. I sort of wish I had gotten the grey interior but I like the way the black looks. This does not happy on the seats though!!!! My seats have stayed very clean!!! Dog hair is really easy to get out of it too.
As far as the way it drives, LOVE IT! I have had a 2011 and 2013 civic LX. My 2013 had the ECON mode which I always left on. You could tell it was on too. It took a second for the car to start going when you put your foot on the gas. On my 2016 though, I can not even tell that I have the ECON button on. Funny thing, I had my AC on high the other day and my sister turned my ECON off and the AC blew even harder. We thought the AC was already blowing pretty hard haha. But that is the only thing I have noticed so far which doesn't really matter to me.
The capless gas tank is nice. Something I noticed recently is that the headrests in the backseat are not adjustable. But I am starting to find out that that is more common than I thought. Not a big deal though. My seat cover I use for the dogs still works just fine. Also, the back seats fold down completely. That came in handy like the first week I had the car. Really easy to do too!! The trunk is still a really good size. I love the shape of the front of the car and the look of the back of the car. Hmm I am trying to think of more things. Oh my mom thinks that the car is lower to the ground than my older civics were. It is a more sporty looking car so it very well could be. But at 5'1, it doesn't matter to/bother me. Oh the keyless entry is awesome!!!!!!! Easily my favorite part!! I NEVER have to take my keys out of my purse. It's so nice haha.
