Q: Contacts that were on Mac disappeared after upgrade to El Capitan! Help!

I upgraded my Mac to El Capitan last night. All seemed to go well until I tried to send an email and found that all of my contacts are gone! Does anyone know how to retrieve them?

Use the browser to sign in to iCloud.com

Click Settings icon at the bottom right corner.

Scroll down and click "Advanced" at the bottom left corner.

Select the “Restore…………” option.

Do you synchronize your contacts with a network service such as iCloud or Google?
