Q: Can’t download episodes from your feed

Hello,

I'm a new podcaster and I'm trying to upload my feed through Apple's podcastsconnect.apple.com. I'm posting my podcast through my blog and hosting from my Google Drive account. I then go through feedburner to create the feed. I'm getting the reply from Apple's podcast connect "Can’t download episodes from your feed". Here's the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/LoudMouthSoup. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Your media file URL is a Google Drive one which has no extension, e.g. .mp3. You must provide a direct link to the file, the URL must include the extension, and when the URL is entered in a browser it must play in the browser, not force a download or appear in an embedded player as your URL does.

I would advise you to find another server. Google Drive has caused endless problems with podcasts and I'm not sure anyone has ever got it to work.

I just wanted to thank you Roger. I've gone a different direction regarding Google Drive and things seems to be moving forward. Thanks again!

Your media file URL begins with with https - it would be better to use http - you can just change this in the URL and it will still work. Your filename contains spaces, which are not allowed in a URL - the feed is correctly handling this by substituting the code %20 for each space so it's not a problem, but it's messy and better avoided.  Your feed works OK when subscribing manually in iTunes but fails validation in Podcasts Connect: it may be the https which is causing this, though as though don't give any reason I can't be absolute about this.
