2. iCloud is a sync mechanism - it mirrors the pics on your phone - in other words - IF you delete them from the phone - they are gone from iCloud as well
3. If you want "off device" storage of your photos - consider Google Photos or Upthere.com

Then disable whatever iCloud the Apple Store enabled for you (iCloud Photo Library or Photo Stream). Then delete whatever photos you no longer want on your phone. That will save you a lot of storage.

The other alternative is IF you have iCPL enabled, then select Optimize for your photos but I still suggest the above.

May 30, 2016 12:05 PM in response to Fergy1503by elcpu,You can wait until you have access to yours or upload them to a cloud storage like Dropbox but 7 GB of photos would take some time to upload and IMO the photos are not as secure as having them on your own computer.
