Unused balance of allowance

Is there a way for me to check how much unused allowance money is in my kids accounts? I did not realize I was giving them an allowance for the last several months and want to be sure to use the unused portion. Not sure if it's being applied to purchases either since I have to approve all of their purchases. I've researched as much as I can on my own and am not finding anything to help me answer these questions.
