how do i fix latency issues with logic pro x and the AKAI mini mpk?

I have a 13 inch late 2011 Mac Book Pro, processor is 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, with memory of 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, currently running on Yosemite 10.10.5. I also have Logic Pro X 10.2.2 and I am attempting to set up the AKAI mini mpk on Logic.

I see that there is latency issues and I'm wondering how do I fix this. I already changed the buffer rate from 64 to 32 and that didn't make a difference. When I press the key, there is still a delay in the sound actually playing. If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it. I also tried listening through my monitors as well as through my studio headphones. I have attached a picture of the current settings I have on Logic. Please help!!User uploaded file

First, set the buffer back to 64

Do not set Low Latency mode just yet. Ask the question, why would Logic have a Low latency mode, since latency is unwanted to begin with?

Low Latency mode is a specialized function as it will disable Latency causing plugins, so it can be used for input of notes only, then it has to be disabled or you will not hear the sound with all the plugins running.

The Logic-9 manual is better than Logic-x's look here.
