I've seen and been given, html links to Apple support articles here in the responses. How is that done? Can someone post an html link with directions on how it's done? I hope this is clear.

searching within ASC is less than satisfactory for my needs, although you might get lucky
try checking your Activity or Content/Participated for a reminder where you may have seen it

Also you can drag the link from the browser address bar to the Desktop, this will create a link.webloc file that you can drag and drop anywhere

I try to remove the localization information from the URLs that I post so that users whose systems aren't set to English may automatically see a version for their region when they click through.
E.g.
https://support.apple.com/HT201596 instead of
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201596
or
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH22247 instead of
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH22247?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
although I usually let the site provide the full titles such as:
Open a different iTunes Library file or create a new one - Apple Support or
Disk Utility (El Capitan): Create a disk image
If you want to paste the bare URL use Cmd-Z (Ctrl-Z for Windows) after the pasted URL is changed to the document title.

This is another nice response. It's given me more new info to digest. I did not realize there was localization info in the URL's, (I also didn't realize URL was what I'm talking about when I refer to html links).
I especially like your last sentence, "If you want to paste the bare URL..." I needed that info earlier today. I will try that.
I will treasure this whole discussion, there is a lot of good information here; particularly for me, I am not computer literate.
By the way, I like your screen name.

support.apple.com/ = subdomain.domain.TopLevelDomain
kb/ = directory (folder) on the server
PH22247 = document name (filename)
?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US = parameters (used by the site software)
these last two are particular to certain protocols - usually you would see something like = filename.html

At this point I just push the start button and go, sort of like; turn the key, and put it in drive, push the gas, and not worry about what's under the hood.

Please don't misunderstand, I do want to learn. I've taken the time to review some of the respondents profiles and have learned that you all have years and years of experience.
I'm just a retired mechanic, I like to try things out but I learned early on via PhotoShop, never work with originals. That's what I do with everything on my computer. Right now, I'm into learning as much as my brain can handle about iCloud. I've had to take a step back and learn how to work within the support community and this discussion is part of that step back.
I don't know why I'm going on and on like this. Personal info such as this probably has no business being here. I'll stop.

Then select it by dragging over it and then click the "Insert Link" icon in the Reply panel's toolbar:
In the resulting pop-up, paste in the long URL and you'll have a short, understandable, clickable link:

I have to TYPE the Title for myself. It does not auto-title no matter how many ways I try = EXCEPT for pages internal ASC & Apple Support articles
