Q: error message setting up gmail

I Am getting username or password is not correct when I try to setup gmail on my iPad air2 with win10.

I can use the same password with everything Google related. What is going on. How can I fix this??

Where does the win 10 come in to the picture?
What error messages if any are you getting on the iPad?

Just follow the steps here. Setting up Gmail should be automatic once you select it as shown in the article
