preview has no gif output

Question

My version of preview only shows a 6 options options. See enclosed.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

If you read all of the article you link to it tells you how to access the extra formats when exporting.

Hold the Option Key when clicking on Formats in the export panel:

The answer is to hold the "Option" key to see all the option.

I do not understand why all options aren't displayed without holding the key
