Personally I am not a fan. I hope they put multiple on the new MacBook Pro. What if you want to plug-in a monitor and an external harddrive while charging and also a usb stick and SD card?

There are products from Apple and other companies that give you more ports and capabilities that include docks for a desktop.
I'm fine with things as they are, but I also have other systems. For me the point of the MacBook is something with size and weight more like a tablet and capabilities well beyond a tablet. My MacBook is new but so far scores high.
So far my experience with the USB-C multi-port adapter is good.
