Still have the issue as maroony describes. In our case we have clinicians across the US who are not technical yet have to engage our service desk who performs an MDM profile push to bump the device out of "Single App Mode", then hand-holds the clinical staff member in reconnecting the iPad to our Wi-Fi, then MDM push again to get it into "Single App Mode".
This means that it is very expensive when the iPad drops the Wi-Fi and cannot reconnect automatically
Now compound this by it happening across the nation in our enterprise. Now triple down on this because when it happens, it could disable the ability to perform a tele-stroke consolation which is **extremely** time critical.
This means that it is potentially dangerous when the iPad drops the Wi-Fi and cannot reconnect automatically
In short, reconnecting to the Wi-Fi if it is dropped by some chance, while in Guided Access aka Single App Mode aka Kiosk Mode is not just a nice to have... and the in and out hokey pokey of reconfiguration each time is not an option.
Time for a radar. ;-)
