Q: Duplicate Album on iPhone after synchronization with Mac

I've a problem that Apple Customer Care cannot solve after months of comunications.

OSX and itunes are updated at the last version.

I have all my pictures in one single library on my Mac book pro using "Photos".

Any time I synchronize the iPhone 5s (or iPad air) with the Mac I find double albums in my mobile as Sefies, Panoramas, Videos, Slo-mo with same pictures.

Both copies of those albums are not editable because they are originally stored on my Mac.

This is a bad think. I would like to see the albums imported from my Mac as untouchable with all the photos imported and the device albums empty or with the picures made from device only.

Apple care has no idea about my trouble, they do not even understand what is the problem after many months of mails and phone calls.

Can anyone give me a solution?

Tnks.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013), iOS 9.3.2

1 - this sounds more like an IOS issue than a Photos for mac issue - I would ask in the IOS forum

2 - what OS version and Photos version do you have?

3 - How are you syncing?

4 - What are your iCloud setting in the Mac system preferences, Photos preferences on the IOS preferences

5 - what has changed since it worked?

    Dear Larry,

    thank you for your answer!

You find below my comments about your points:

1 - Sorry but I'm new about Apple Support Community and I do not now how to manage it correctly jet. May be it is correct the IOS forum for this trouble, I do not know...

    2 - OSX El Capitan version 10.11.5 (15F34); Photos Version 1.5 (370.42.0) Digital Camera RAW 6.19 (844) Digital Camera RAW Support 6190 (221)

3 - I'm syncing with iTunes and cable

4 - I do not use iCloud to sync or store Photos, the flag is not present in the iCloud setting window.

5 - I start to use Photos as soon it was developed and official distributed more or less one year ago and this problem was present from the beginning.

I tried to sync with a new empty library and make some other reset operation without results. I only didn't try to format and reinstall OS.

Again thanks for your help and interest.
