Please improve the podcast app interface

The podcast app interface needs improvements to make its use more enjoyable for IO 9.3.2 on my iPhone 5.

The scrub bar is useless if you have a case on the device and the progress bar of song/podcast is near the beginning or at the end. My finger can't pick up the bar to move it forward. Why do I have to have my finger positioned over the progress bar? What about allowing scrubbing forward and backwards by passing over anywhere over the scrub line? Can't swiping over the line do something?

What about adding a 30 second skip? Keep the 15 second skip but add a 30. Long podcasts sometime need longer skipping. Add some way to skip though swiping to move quickly through long podcast. Scrubbing is not accurate, but 30 sec swipe over the scrub line would be easier to move through the content.

Where did the "Next" and "Back" go? This is not a big deal but what about adding left/right/up swiping over the album art for next/back?

Maybe make the album art smaller to get more controls? Can controls be put over the album art?

Incorporating more swiping features in the app to make listening to longer content would make for a more powerful and enjoyable experience.
