Q: IPHONE 6 problems

I recently received a disabled iPhone 6 from a friend and i put it in recovery mode. So does recovery mode delete everything including all the icloud information or No? Does it delete all the settings also?

    From Recovery Mode, your only option to get the device working is to restore it. A restore deletes all information for the device. It will take it back to factory settings. However, if your friend did not remove the device from their iCloud account, then you will not be able to activate it. They will need to log into iCloud on their computer and remove the device from their account, after erasing it.

    If you restore in recovery mode, all of the data will be erased. If the phone is Activation locked (i.e. Find My iPhone was set up on the device), it will NOT remove the activation lock. Only the owner of the account used to lock it can remove the lock.
