Q: How can I transfer my entire iTunes library from Mac to Windows, and not lose play counts and date added info?
I am currently in between laptops. I have a Late-2011 MacBook Pro running 10.9.5, with the latest version of iTunes. I am switching to a newer laptop, and for school reasons (software necessities) I am using an ASUS that is running Windows 10, with the latest version of iTunes.
I am curious if it is possible to do a full migration of my iTunes library from Mac to Windows that will not lose any of the info that I currently have. I know that I can very easily move all my music from one computer to the other, and lose very little info, but I do not want to lose two pieces of info that I care about: date added and play count.
I know it is possible to make this migration from one Mac to another, I seem to have done it before at least once. I know this because my library on my current computer includes songs with a date added and play count from 2003, which would be from the iMac I had before the iMac that immediately preceded my current MacBook.
Can this be done?
Thanks!
