Q: Battery drain while Sleeping on MacBook Early 2016

I just purchased the Core M3 with 512GB SSD and I love it.  I'm not a graphics designer or game player.  75% of the time I am using Gmail for heavy amount of email and handling Word docs or Excel Sheets.  Felt like this was the machine for me.

I also owned a 2014 MacAir.  One thing I LOVED about that machine was when closing the lid and putting to sleep, I could go overnight and lot lose any battery at all or maybe 1-2%.

However, I was surprised to discover that when I close the lid on this device, after about 12 hours, I'm losing 10-12% which I thought was a little unusual.

Anyone else experience this at all and found a solution?  I disabled BT so I know that is not the issue and location services are off except for ability to use Find My Mac, although my Mac Air just barely used any juice while sleeping.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you

MacBook, iOS 9.3.2

    I disabled BT

Unecessary, as both BT and WiFi are turned off in Sleep Mode.

Uncheck the option for, "Enable Power Nap..."

Thank you for the tip.  However, that option was already unchecked for me.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.

If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

Other than Linc's suggestion, verify in Activity Monitor whether there are any apps that are preventing your MacBook from entering Sleep Mode.

So I ran activity monitor and everything was listed as "no" preventing sleep.

Interestingly I shut lid at 4pm yesterday, 91% battery iife

Opened back up at 11am today and 89% battery.  So only 2% loss in 17 hours? WAY better than first few days.

Might have been that I use Chrome.  When I shut it I exited out but didn't end that process so maybe that is what caused it?  I have to use Chrome since I need an extension for my Gmail that tied into Salesforce.com.  Wish I could use Safari only.

    Thanks for the help
