Q: Winexe, do you know a reliable source for installation/usage?

I'm looking for some reliable installation and usage documentation for Winexe on MAC OS X(or any comparable tool!!). I recently moved from a Windows 7 PC to MAC OS X. I have quite a few servers that i'm responsible for, several hundred of which are windows based(a larger chunk are RHEL6). I need a solution that allows me to run windows commands, or at least kick off batch files remotely from MAC OS X(and eventually a RHEL6 machine serving as an administrative host). I'm trying to avoid installing sshd, or an equivalent on all of the windows machines.

I've looked through quite a few instructional articles on google, and i'm either not finding the right articles or not getting something. I've found several places to download the source, but i'm not sure what to use to compile it.
