Q: Can't Unlock my iPhone

I just bought my friend's old iPhone 5. He forgot the passcode on it, and I thought it had find my iPhone on bc I couldn't hard reset it. He gave me his iCloud info and I went to turn the find my iPhone for that device. I assume bc he didn't use that phon
