Q: Watch unresponsive after update

I've had my watch for over 6 months now, and loved it until I updated both my phone and watch's software.  I updated the software on my iPhone 6 to the latest firmware which is iOS 9.3.2 and my watch to WatchOS 2.2.1.  Both updates said they were to fix bug issues, which I've never experienced before in fact this firmware has given me issues.

Prior to this update my watch would give me all my notifications such as text and phone call alerts.  After I updated I've been having issues with getting notifications on my watch. I've also noticed that my battery life on my watch isn't lasting a full day in which it did before.  Most recently I've noticed that I'm receiving messages stating my watch is not paired with my phone but when I go into Bluetooth setting it says the watch is connected. A side note my watch will not load weather content either. Any help??  I've unpaired and re-paired the watch to the phone and that has done nothing. I've also restarted both the watch and phone and still nothing. Also I made sure that my notifications were on for both the watch and the phone. Not sure what to do, I rather not spend hours in the apple store... Any one else experiencing these same issues and has solutions or any idea on what to do to fix this?

Apple Watch, watchOS 2.2.1, null

    Hi,

If you don't see notifications on your Apple Watch

When your Apple Watch locks or you turn on Do Not Disturb, your notifications go to your iPhone instead of your watch.

    • You’ll see Lock on your watch face when your Apple Watch locks. If your Apple Watch has a passcode, it locks automatically when you aren't wearing it, when it loses contact with your skin, or while it's charging.
    • If Do Not Disturb is on, you'll see Moon icon on your watch face. To turn this feature on or off, swipe up on the watch face, swipe left or right to the Settings glance, then tap Do not disturb button.
