How to retrieve lost contacts

Do you have any iTunes backup? What means "lost" contacts: did you delete them?

As long as you have an old backup, you can retrieve the contacts and other data from it. You can also get your contacts from an iCloud backup if data is not synced after you've lost your contacts.

I used this method to extract my deleted contacts from an iTunes backup. Simply follow the steps described in this tutorial and you'll get your contacts back on your iPhone. If you have an old iTunes backup, don't generate any new one because you can overwrite the existing one. In this situation, you can loose any possibility of recovery.
