Apps downloading on wrong page and creats a new page

I have two "pages" worth of Apps. My first page is all the things you can't delete and my most used Apps. My second page only has 4 apps so it has plenty of room when I download a new app. However, when I download a new app it will automatically create a new page (Page 3) and then I will have to hold down the app until it shakes and move it to page two where there is PLENTY of room. Is there any way to fix this annoying issue so when I download an App it will load on page two and not create an unnecessary page three? Any help would be greatly appreciated

That is not the behavior that I've ever experienced. The only "rule" that I've seen is that a new app will download to the next available spot if there's only one empty spot on the first home screen. Something isn't right...

Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

You might want to also try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

If this doesn't help, you might need to Restore your iPhone.
