Q: iTunes Freezing when iphone is connected

Earlier today, my iTunes was working great. I came home today and was downloading songs off the itunes store on my computer that I had previously purchased. I finished downloading and hooked up my iPhone 4S and it froze up. Now whenever I launch iTunes, it seems to take a bit longer than it has before (only by a few seconds) and it stops working whenever an iDevice is connected. It works without the devices connected though. I even tried hooking up my iPhone 6 and it froze. I'm running Windows 7 with a 64bit OS. I've been looking up and using every "solution" I can find. I've done everything on the Apple support page for this- even gone as far as to factory reset the iPhone 4S- nothing works. Can someone help me?
