Q: family sharing questions

Hi

If i turn on family sharing, so my wife can access all my purchased music on her iPad, can she still buy her own music using her own apple account? Or is one or the other?

VIN,iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 12GB

That's helpful. Thank you. But can my wife also make use of her own Apple ID without all her stuff appearing in the family account and/or without the family master account paying for it?

Hi. If you have multiple Apple IDs in iTunes, you can invite each of your accounts to the group, so you can share purchases from your other Apple IDs with your family.

If you want to keep some purchases private, you can choose to hide individual items . Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases - Apple Support

Yes, I can see it's possible to hide things. But the second part of m question is can my wife still use her own apple ID to buy her own stuff WITH HER MONEY i.e. not making use of what seems to be a key feature of the family account that the person who sets it up pays for everything!

Buy iTunes gift cards and add them to her account. The balance of those will be used before your credit card is charged.
