Isn't there anything else I can do? My entire **** collection was on there.

Jun 1, 2016 3:33 PM in response to JustRob1990by macjack,Hard drives can fail at any time new or old, so can other components. So, you should aways keep a current backup, because anything can happen at any time.
If you have another Mac available try starting up yours in Target Disk Mode:
Share files between two computers with target disk mode - Apple Support
it will allow you to see your machine as a connected drive. If that works, then you can at least backup your files.

The odds are very much on your side that a new HDD will bring life back to your MBP, but not 100%. A FREE evaluation at an Apple store genius bar is a good option. Make an appointment.
