Quick Time Player not open AVCHD folder

Quicktime Player will not open AVCHD folder:

One of the quick and simple methods I found on the internet this guy posed, it's worth to check it out.

The method works well for me for AVCHD and BDMV folders that you may encounter;

Afterwards, I used MPlayX app. instead of Quicktime Player to open and play video file clips for both MTS and m2ts file format.

One of the beauty of MPlayX is it continues to open the following file clips, MTS or m2ts, without any involvement. Whileas for QuickTime Player, you have to continue on clicking to open next file...

I'm still trying to figure out a way to concatenate all those clips together to make the whole video story.

Any suggestions? I haven't try to use iMovie yet, probably I will need some tutorials...
