Hi, my mom gave me her old iPhone and forgot her Apple ID password so I tried to hard reset the iPhone. I guess we still need the password since it asks for a Apple ID and Password. I'm not to sure how to go about this does she need to call someone or since she cant recall her old password and we've been trying to reset it for a while now?

There is no one to call, she must remember the password or the phone is useless.

She can reset the password at iforgot.apple.com

Have you tried going to http://iforgot.apple.com?

If that does not work, she'll need to call iTunes Support and have them reset the password. She'll need to provide original proof of purchase of the device from Apple or an authorized reseller, before they can help.
