Q: Need.to delete iCloud in El Capitan MAC desktop.  ipad Air/2

the iCloud is NOT working when I go online.  It closes out whenever I try to go to Photos  It won't save any of them either.  Says there is an error.

How can I fix this?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), iPad Air 2 2015

What do you mean when you go online, are you trying to access your data through iCloud.com

Hope I can answer this .  The icloud would not let me download any photos or videos when I am online in “iCloud.com”,  I have several hundred orange error images for the photos., and when I want to delete them, the Photos closes out and says there is an error, and just send the report to Apple.   This isn’t helping me fix this,. so I disabled icloud today, and will let it delete all the crazy orange error images, and all the rest of them. in 30 days.  I have all of the photos anyway.  Then will reopen icloud. and see if they are gone.  There were too many items in storage, and it wanted me to upgrade, but I hae been trying to delete files instead, and am now down to 2.5 gbs.  so I have plenty of room now again.

As long as my ipad Air2 syncs, etc., everything should clear up and all those image files should  be deleted in 30 days.

    That’s what I did.

Yes, I think I am now.  Will have to wait 30 days for Apple to delete all those images, then try it all over again.  Thank you for responding to try to help me.
