My Wifi works great, and this problem does not occur on any other devices in the house. The internet will sometimes randomly cut out from my laptop, and I have to run network diagnostics every single time to fix it. The funny thing is, I appear to be connected to the router, but there's no data stream to and from my computer to the router. Any help on fixing this problem??

So the problem is on your MBA running what OS?
Has it been like this for a long time or is it recent?
Did it follow the firmware update a few days ago of an apple router?
What router do you have?
If you do not have airport you should actually post the problem under the hardware or OS as the problem is there.
I'm using the latest OS X, 10.11.5. It's been fairly recent, over the past 3 months or so. It didn't follow the apple router firmware update, and my router is a Netgear AC1900 C6300BD
Your issue is likely to be an upgrade install of the OS.

IMHO if you did a upgrade install of the OS.. that is more than likely the problem.
Using a non-apple router doesn't help.
