Are you using iPhoto? Ordering books with iPhoto was discontinued on March 31.

If you're using Photos, try posting in the Photos forum

    Photos for Mac

You might want to explain exactly what you mean by "thrown out" to get useful help.

Are you trying to order a book from iPhoto (since your question is in the iPhoto forum)?

You cannot order books from iPhoto any longer at all. Apple stopped this service for iPhoto.

If you are trying to order a book from Photos for Mac, there is a bug with ordering multiple copies.  The solution is to submit the order for one item and then immediately to change the order in the Purchases history to update the quantity.

The "Photos" menu in Photos has an entry "Print products Store Account".  Use this menu entry to access your account and purchase history to modify your order.

If you are not running the latest version of El Capitan, update to version 10.11.5.  In my version of Photos I can use the plus button to increment the quantity.
