Q: How do I remove data from a second hand phone?

My son has given me his old iPhone and i have added my sim but i can only see his contacts and data, how to i go about removing his data and adding mine?

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.2

You should restore the phone as new. See this article for all the steps that he should, ideally, have done before turning over the phone:

You can just do them now yourself.
