Q: Right colomn scrollingin Podcast view

Hello,

I don't know if this problem has been described yet, so sorry if it has already.

I run Windows 10 64 bits and it concerns iTunes 12.4.0.119.

When a device is plugged in and I navigate to it by clicking its symbol on the top left bar, under the menus, then choose "Podcast", we see 2 columns. The first has the list of podcast and the second, on the right, has the episodes for each podcast. I have a long list of podcast I have subscribed to. When I scroll down the list of podcast, the column on the right also scrolls down but it shouldn't! I have to scroll back up to see the content of the selected podcast.

Is there way around this or should I just wait for the next update hoping this issue gets resolved? Are other users also affected by the same behavior?

iPod nano, Windows 10

    Hi moezbali,

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I understand correctly, iTunes isn't scrolling as expected when you're browsing podcasts with the application on your PC. While the article below doesn't address this specific scrolling issue that you described, it does provide a lot of great troubleshooting tips that can help you isolate and most likely resolve the issue.

The issue isn't limited to Windows users - I'm on a MacBook Air and have the same problem, as do, I think, the people in this thread:

    12.4 Podcast scrolling issue

Let me attempt to describe it a bit more precisely. If you want to use iTunes to sync podcasts to an iPod or iPhone, once you click through to the appropriate place in iTunes, you see two columns on the right-hand side of the screen. The one on the left is labeled "Podcasts," and under it is listed all of the podcasts downloaded to your computer. On the right the label will be whatever podcast you've clicked on, and it shows all of the episodes that you've downloaded of that podcast. In the past, you could scroll through the left column - i.e., scroll through your podcasts - while the right-hand column stayed fixed. This is handy, because if you have a long list of podcast, it is good to be able to scroll through to the bottom of your list and then, with a single click, see the episodes of that podcast pop up in the right hand column.

You can't do that anymore--you can't scroll the left-hand column. When you try, it moves slightly, but it immediately resets to the top. The only way, then, to see what is at the bottom of your list is to scroll the whole page, which means if you want to look at the podcasts at the bottom of your list, you have to scroll the whole page back up once you've clicked on the podcast so you can see them at the top of the right hand column.

This is very inconvenient. I hope there is an easy settings change that will rectify the problem and/or that there is an update soon to resolve it.
