Scratches on MacBook Air from Keyboard?

The screen of my MacBook Air 13" 2015 has little scratches from the keyboard touching it when closed. You can not see them when the laptop is on, but when it is off you can. The MacBook is still under warranty, will Apple replace the screen for free?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Only Apple can answer that question authoritatively. Bring the MBA in for an evaluation.

Because this would be considered my own damage... would it be covered by warranty?

The warranty excludes accidental damage. It all depends on how the MBA is evaluated by the Apple technician.
