Q: podcast list scrambled when synced to phone

When I sync my iPhone 6s to iTunes, the podcast lists are scrambled from what I have organized in iTunes. Some files get numerically listed wrong in the folder, the folders get broken up into multiples and there's duplicate folders and files. Some files have "!" next to them, but not as a matter of paused subscriptions and they still play. And some have clouds next to them, even though they were checked to be downloaded (plus the file wasn't on my phone before syncing). Also, the file management that I selected in iTunes, i.e. weather or not the file plays older to newest or if they get erased, is set back to default when synced to the phone but iTunes keeps the settings I selected.

Essentially, my nice neat iTunes podcast list becomes a total and unusable mess.

    Hey awf75,

It looks like you're having issues syncing podcasts form iTunes on a computer to your iPhone 6s Plus.  With the Podcasts app built into iOS, there's no longer a need to sync podcasts through iTunes.  The podcasts will automatically sync as you download or subscribe to them.  Make sure iTunes is the latest version to go along with your iPhone and any other devices, then they should start automatically syncing over the air.
