It's important to be able to backup your device. I can appreciate you trying to get this solved! In this case, we have a fantastic resource that may help. Check it out here: How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes
Make a backup using iCloud
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
- In iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > iCloud > Backup.
In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. - Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on.

- Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process completes.
- Make sure the backup finished by tapping Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage, and then select your device. The backup you just made should appear in the details with the time and backup size.
Keep in mind a few requirements when backing up your device - for full details, see Get help backing up your device in iCloud:
You can set your iOS device to back up automatically each day with iCloud. iCloud makes these daily automatic backups only if:
- Your device is connected to a power source.
- Your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- Your device's screen is locked.
You can also make a backup of your device manually:
- Connect your device to a power source.
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
- In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Backup and tap Back Up Now. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup and tap Back Up Now.
If you're following these steps but aren't able to complete a backup or are receiving an error, you're in the right place for answers. Post any errors or trouble you're running into here.
Enjoy your weekend!
