As I understand your issue, it looks like you’re not able to receive or delete any emails because you get a message that imail.aol.com is not responding. Is that right?
Take a look at this link: Get help with Mail on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
The best place to start in getting this fixed would be to try and remove and re-add the account using the following steps:
Remove your email account and set it up again
If you still have issues with sending and receiving email, try removing your email account from your device and then add it back again:*
- On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website to verify that all of your email is there or check if your email is saved somewhere other than your iOS device.
- On your iOS device, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap the email account you want to remove.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Add your account again.
Have a great day!

It should be imap.aol.com
